Ken Matsuzaki (Japan)

Ken Matsuzaki Ken Matsuzaki has exhibited widely in Japan, America and Britain and has become one of Japan’s foremost exponents of the Shino glaze. Matsuzaki was apprenticed to National Living Treasure, Tatzuzo Shimaoka but has created for himself a very individual style, firing his work in both gas and wood fired kilns.  He demonstrated hand building and wheel throwing techniques at the 2005 festival.
