Pannaliappan

The potter/priest Panaliappan will be building and firing an Aiyanar horse for the Festival.  These ceramic horses were traditionally placed for protection outside villages in the State of Tamil Nadu, and are named for the deity who is believed to ride them each night to protect against evil spirits.
