Demonstrator announced for ICF 2015: Lisa Hammond (UK)
12 August 2014
We are delighted to announce that Lisa Hammond will be demonstrating at the ICF in 2015. “For the last 35 years I have been making vapour glaze pots, concentrating on producing functional high temperature soda glaze pots for the preparation, cooking and serving of food, in the broadest sense. Raw glazing using slip and a pallet of firing schedules gives the work its rich colour and texture. In recent years I have developed a range of work “Soda Shino”. I use Shino type glazes fired alongside the slipware pots, in the soda kiln.” She has taught at Goldsmiths College as well as lecturing in the UK and internationally. She is a Fellow of the CPA and founded Adopt a Potter Charitable Trust in 2009.
