In Memory: Morgen Hall

A commemorative, informal talk with Robert Kennedy
It will soon be ten years since Morgen Hall died, and many of the themes and events at this year’s ICF resonate directly with Morgen’s creative and pioneering ceramic practice. ICF 2025 demonstrator Rich Miller took over Morgen’s beloved Ram Press in 2015 to make tiles; and Dr Natasha Mayo’s lecture on her time at Kecskemét residency will be held in her memory.

Morgen was celebrated for her joyful tableware, especially her exquisite teapots, but most people won’t know the full extent of her artistic activities and interests.

An informal hour-long talk will feature a few of her well-known works alongside a number of objects that have never been seen outside of her studio. It will not be an exhibition but an opportunity to hold, see and explore some of the areas Morgen explored and developed. Feel free to bring along any object, photo or recollection.

Computer aided design, 3D modelling, industrial ram pressing, instigating inclusive art spaces, community, collaboration, innovation, environment will all feature as topics in this talk.
